A disturbing new US intelligence assessment of North Korea predicts that Kim Jong Un could have an ICBM capable of reaching the US with a nuclear warhead by 2018, which is two years sooner than previously thought.
CIA Director Mike Pompeo said North Korea has benefited from outside “partners, suppliers, engineers and talented physicists” who have accelerated its “learning curve faster than one might do if you just simply did it internally.”
That would suggest that it’s a bad idea to let rogue states that threaten their neighbors with annihilation have nuclear reactors and planeloads of money to pay for weapons experts, tech and equipment. I wonder if there might be some other rouge nation where that valuable lesson should also have been applied?
